Youth Na PowerInitiative Zambia

Who we are

Youth Na Power Initiative Zambia is a youth-led, registered NGO promoting peace among young people aged 16 to 30, from our head office in Ndola to campuses across the Copperbelt.

Our story

Registered NGO · Zambia · NYDC Reg. No. 0008267

We were established in August 2024 by young people who believed their generation already had what it takes to change their communities. Today we run programs from our head office in Ndola, through an active chapter at the Copperbelt University in Kitwe, and across universities and colleges in both cities.

For us, peace is not simply the absence of war. It is the presence of opportunity, inclusion, gender equality, climate justice, access to quality sexual and reproductive health and rights, and access to empowerment in all its forms. This understanding shapes everything we do.

Our mission

To raise a generation of young people equipped and empowered to accelerate and advance sustainable development through creative thinking, innovation, and community problem-solving.

Like a phoenix, we shall rise.

Our journey so far

August 2024

Youth Na Power is born

A group of young people in Ndola comes together around one conviction: peace means opportunity, and young people already carry the power to create it.

August to December 2025

Pilot program in Ndola

We deliver innovation and entrepreneurship seminars and workshops for young people, and make a key discovery: displaced and refugee youth want the same opportunities but are being excluded.

November 2025

Formally registered as an NGO

Youth Na Power Initiative Zambia becomes a registered non-governmental organization, giving our work a lasting institutional home.

2026

Expanding to refugee settlements

Building on the pilot's lessons, we begin expanding into the Meheba and Mayukwayukwa settlements and deepen our alliance with the National Youth Development Council.

We don't build potential. We unlock it.

Young people already carry the ideas, the drive, and the creativity to change their communities. What's missing isn't ability. It's access. When you partner with us, you are not funding a program. You are investing in a generation that is already capable and simply needs the door held open.

Partner with us. Fund a training. Open a door.
